Bio:
VLKN  is a dj based in Istanbul. His real name is Volkan.
As he averages adolescence, he fanatically discovers electronic sounds. After listening, dancing and vibrating with the beats of electronic music, he decided to insert himself fully into the universe of the trays back in 2003. For some years now VLKN has used vinyl as the preferred format for his presentations. He believes that it is the most noble and beautiful format to be able to transmit what flows from within when making a set. His passion for music has lead him to start creating his own productions, where he is looking to continue to develop his unique sound. You can listen his first EP ''Senses'' on his Soundcloud page or on Beatport. His sound incorporates warm, beautiful melodies, groovy basslines, and more than a touch of class. He seeks to touch the hearts and minds of dancers with improvisations based on their set, setting and atmosphere. Be on the look out for his future releases as they are packed with grooves and uplifting sounds, designed for the dancefloor and more.

Die Zusammenarbeit vereint Marios Hintergrund in House, Trance und Techno mit Victors umfassender Expertise in Progressive House, Techno und elektroakustischer Musik. Michael, nascido em dezembro de 1987, o italiano descobriu sua paixão pela música ainda criança, graças a um software de criação musical encontrado em uma caixa de cereal. Embora sonhasse em programar videogames, esse momento inesperado mudou sua trajetória para sempre.

Com dedicação, ele estudou música por meio de cursos, livros e tutoriais online. Conquistou reconhecimento ao vencer competições como o Emerging Contest 2013, o BNM Remix Contest e o prêmio de “Música do Mês” no site musicadigitale.net.

Essas vitórias abriram portas para cinco contratos com gravadoras na Itália e na Grécia, e sua música passou a ser distribuída internacionalmente. Michael já colaborou com diversos artistas e explorou vários estilos da música eletrônica, como house e techno.

Desde 2007, atua como DJ, com apresentações em eventos e rádios na Europa e além — incluindo Pioneer DJ Radio (Ibiza), Kiss FM (Austrália) e Eurobeat Radio (Londres). Em 2016, passou a se dedicar mais à rádio, criando o podcast semanal B-Tronic, transmitido pela In Progress Radio (Amsterdã), onde apresenta lançamentos de techno e progressive house.

Em 2024, atingiu o topo do ranking de techno no Mixcloud com um set no podcast Space Monkeys UK e lançou o projeto “Il Covo dei DJ”, destacando artistas e novidades da cena eletrônica. Também colaborou com sua cidade natal para ensinar DJing a jovens.

Em entrevista à Radio Canale Italia, revelou seu lado introspectivo e como a música se tornou seu canal de expressão. Para Michael, cada set é uma forma de contar histórias e transmitir emoções sem palavras.

[EN] Michael, an Italian DJ, producer, and remixer, was born in December 1987. His passion for music began in childhood when he discovered a simple music-making software inside a cereal box—an unexpected gift that shifted his path away from his original dream of becoming a video game programmer.

Self-taught through courses, books, and online tutorials, Michael quickly made a name for himself by winning contests such as the Emerging Contest 2013, the BNM Remix Contest, and Song of the Month on musicadigitale.net.

These accomplishments led to five record deals with labels across Italy and Greece. His music has been distributed worldwide in both digital and physical formats. Known for his versatility, he has collaborated with Italian and international artists, exploring electronic music styles ranging from house to techno.

Since 2007, Michael has also been active as a DJ, performing at local events and on radio stations across Europe and beyond—including Pioneer DJ Radio (Ibiza), Kiss FM (Australia), and Eurobeat Radio (London). In 2016, he shifted his focus to radio, launching B-Tronic, a weekly podcast aired on In Progress Radio (Amsterdam), where he curates cutting-edge techno and progressive house tracks.

In 2024, his DJ set on the Space Monkeys UK podcast reached #1 on Mixcloud’s global techno chart—a surreal milestone in his career. That same year, he launched Il Covo dei DJ (“The DJ’s Den”), a project dedicated to sharing stories, artist profiles, and news from the electronic music scene, and collaborated with his hometown council to teach a DJ course for young aspiring artists.

In an interview with Radio Canale Italia, Michael shared a more personal side—shy and introverted by nature, he found in music a powerful way to connect with the world. His sets reflect this emotional depth, offering listeners a journey through rhythm, feeling, and wordless storytelling.
