This title is both a literal representation and a rather abstract collective of musical imagery...
Chimaeras, creatures of a very particular appearance in Greek Mythology, have gradually shape-shifted themselves into crucial symbols of Gothic architecture - distorted and gruesome, yet embellishing such beautiful cathedrals as Notre-Dame de Paris.
Biology describes a chimaera as a single organism that contains two sets of DNA - and so, merges two different "individuals" in itself.
Another, somewhat sentimental definition that the word has acquired overtime is an "illusory, intangible dream, a delusion"...
