Stourhead Gardens are in Wiltshire, on the border with Dorset.  This is an unusual composition for me as it uses field recordings from around the gardens.  It is a personal journey around a place I know very well and which I have shared with my family for many years.

Introspection is defined as the examination of one's own conscious thoughts and feelings.  In a spiritual context it means the examination of one's soul.  Conceived during the UK lockdown which commenced during March 2020, this piece combines instrumental music alongside sounds recorded from the natural world.
