Modern­­ Bronze isn’t your average LA rock band. Refusing to blend into the vast soundscape, this female-fronted quartet glistens with magnetic songwriting suggesting PJ Harvey, Radiohead, Pink Floyd and everything else you love about dynamic rock & roll. Originally tested during a jam in a rehearsal studio downtown, their signature sound erupted when four distinctly different musical backgrounds collided in mid-2015. Sharing the common ground of being California transplants with a long list of previous bands, each member of Modern Bronze has experience, perseverance and Dropbox folders filled with song ideas. Built on the foundation of asking, ‘what if’' every musical idea was on the table, quickly the foursome began amassing original songs that musically explored the emotional depth of Portishead, the complexity of Rush, the thickness of Zeppelin and the riffing edge of Motley Crue. Like a rodeo bull, Modern Bronze entered the recording studio ready to throw down.  The end result is their debut EP titled ‘Treading Water’ giving listeners an adventurous five song cross-section which reveals what makes Modern Bronze tick.

Guitar is my main interest and love, however, I played most if not all of the instruments on the available tracks. 

I was given the nick name "Badhands",  a number of years ago from a younger  (and very good) player when we played together on a set at a blues jam for the first time. At the end of the set the younger man told me I had some "Badhands". It stuck . 

As far as it relates to my playing, the nick name can imply a good player or a bad player. I will let you judge.
