It's 1 am, you wander into the parking lot of a roadside motel, exhausted from your travels. You don't know which town is closest, you're unsure of how far you are from your destination, but inside lies a temporary solace from the elements. Once you enter, the night clerk asks where you're coming from. "I'm just passing through," you answer. "As we all are." the night clerk responds after a pause. He tosses you a key. "See you tomorrow night." You don't know what he means by that, but you should sleep, as there's a full day of travels ahead of you.
