Just as I was about to rush out for an appointment a few weeks ago I stopped by the piano and composed just a few bars.  I didn't really have the time but I can rarely resist the pull of my piano and thought "oh well...maybe just a few minutes!"  I knew that when I returned home and over the  weeks to follow, these few bars would grow into my next piece of music.  While I was at my appointment I thought to myself that these little musical "doodles" are like seeds.  Every time I sit at the piano a seed is sown (which is why I hit "record" every time)!  Some seeds (or "kernels") grow and develop, others do not even germinate.  

All seeds benefit from being cared for and nurtured and I am lucky enough to have someone special in my life who is rather an expert in all things musical.  Thank you Chris Adams for mentoring me and challenging me to come out of my comfort zone and try new things.

Kernels

This little piece is about change. Starting with a minor chord turning to major. Making it some sort of a reverse listening. It makes sense after a few bars. Then a nice refrain. It's short but like this well rounded up, I think. Hope you like it... Now on all streaming platforms!

Change

"Non-dits" is a melodic piano piece, subtly tinged with melancholy. It resembles a contemporary nocturne, set in an intimate and soothing atmosphere
