One of the youngest olympians, Hermes was the Messenger of the Gods. Also, he was a well known trickster and outwitted the other gods for his own satisfaction.

The goal of this orchestral work, in three movements, is to convey the rhythm, motion and drive of a holiday excursion, and anchor the composition with a musical flourish. This is the first movement.

Le but de cette pièce orchestrale en trois mouvements est de traduire le rythme, le mouvement et l'énergie d'une excursion de vacances et ancrer la composition dans une touche musicale flamboyante. Ceci est le premier mouvement.
