It was a long awaited package for us, but we are now able to share you this first LP from the Totem Series, from 矯激 [Radical]

He delivered us a two sided LP, focused on mesmerizing soundscapes, meditative ambient pieces and dubby grooves on side A, and pushing forward on the B side from Dub techno to stakhanovist rhythms.

Private press go strength for strength on their new outing for Sungate. An exploration in rave infused breakbeat techno with impeccable futuristic sound design.

Setting the tone with the swarming bee synths of “Overdose”, a hivemind of its own with an end-of-the-world feeling to it, to proceed into “PWM Break”, breakneck speeds and tossed drumwork, yet permanently drenched ethereal silk-like pads.

Equal parts heavyweight and light as a feather, “Raver’s Delight” does what it says on the tin, with Reese bass thick enough to drown you on the dancefloor, culminating with “Rush”, a swung break stomper guaranteed to break hearts and subwoofers.

Hungarian collective Wedding Acid Group prove that three is the magic number with their heady productions that hit the sweet spot between techno, electro, trance, and of course acid. With regular appearances on Undersound Recordings that include their 2023 “Metro-303” long-player, they have even released a cassette through the imprint which features an extended live jam. Their musical output is certainly not confined to this excellent Undersound label as they have also released the extensive 2014 “Newpestian Adventures” LP on the sadly now-defunct Budapest label Farbwechsel. Jonny Sriraxa & Luci B's indomitable sonic system, Nostalgia Futura is a project born during the first confinement period in Madrid, Spain, at the peak of the Covid-19 crisis. The overwhelming sensations of physical, social, and emotional detention painted the horizon with a nostalgic hue..."so we felt a certain type of nostalgia for this particular future..." And now, in their sets and performances, Jonny Sriraxa and LuciB aim to transmit the entirety of that accumulated energy through rhythms oriented towards the dance floor--evoking reflection through motion-- and flowing across a variety of genres, histories, and influences that fuse the old, new, and still-evolving.
