Hard to believe how time flies – it's been exactly 6 years, 4 months, and 19 days since we released our very first compilation. Back then, everything was new and we had no idea where the journey would take us. Over the years, downtempo has evolved significantly and continuously reinvented itself.

Today, we're releasing our tenth and - for now - final compilation. From the beginning, it was important to us to provide a platform for new and emerging artists – and up until this tenth compilation, we’re proud to say that no artist appeared more than once. For this special occasion, we're breaking with that tradition and have invited several long-time companions to join us in shaping this moment.

A big thank you to all the artists for their contributions, and to all our listeners for your continued support. Special thanks also go to Kilian Van de Water, whose unique style has always played a key role in creating the overall identity of our label.

Fairies and Friends is a gentle journey through enchanted woods - far from the weight of reality, into a world inhabited by kind-hearted fairies and soft-spoken forest spirits. Each track paints a scene: of moonlit dances under glowing fireflies, of silent encounters in the underbrush, and of the quiet wonder of being part of something magical. The EP drifts between the playful and the ponderous, always carried by a sense of warmth and emotional depth, wrapped in subtle textures and storytelling rhythms.
Behind this dreamy soundscape is @nilpferdmann, a producer and DJ from Trier in southwest Germany, known for his wide stylistic range - from swing and jazz to deep electronic grooves A former big‑band drummer, he brings a lifelong affinity for dynamic basslines and organic rhythms to his work As part of the Clouds Kollektiv and a resident at notable venues like Kasino Kornmarkt (Trier) and Sektor Heimat (Saarbrücken), he’s built a reputation as a musical travel‑companion - guiding listeners through unexpected, cohesive experiences
With Fairies and Friends, Nilpferdmann continues that journey: crafting a sonic forest where every rustle, shimmer, and heartbeat invites you deeper into the woods, and leaves you feeling part of something enchantingly alive.

@LastGentlemanOnPlaya drops a mystical organic house release on his record label, @ItsGoodToBeATree, it features @Shamanic_Catharsis and includes remixes by @DrParnassus, @MiRET, and @Kermesse.

Known for his trippy style, which combines immersive atmosphere with tribal drums. Most of Last Gentleman On Playa's music has been released through his own record label, but he has also featured on other imprints, including Cosmic Awakenings.

On remix duty, Kermesse and Dr Parnassus have both previously featured on It's Good To Be A Tree, but MiRET is featuring on the imprint for the first time.

Kermesse in an Argentinian artist known for his mix of psychedelic vocals, quirky rhythms and majestic melodies. He has released music through record labels such as Kamai Music, The Magic Movement, and Lump Records.

Dr Parnassus is a shamanic producer from Bali, whose tracks are a concoction of shimmering synths and Middle-Eastern melodies sequenced into melodic grooves. He has featured on record labels ranging from Sol Selectas to Underyourskin Records.

Based in Spain, MiRET is making his first appearance on It's Good To Be A Tree, following regular releases on his own imprint [MuMa]. He has also featured his chugging downtempo style on respected outlets such as Bar 25, 3000 Grad, and Sounds of Sirin.
