Although you might not have heard the name Vellocet before (except if you are a Stanley Kubrick fan) - the guy behind it is not new to the business. With his former projects Maxwell Smart, Nomé or 2 Trick Pony he played himself into the record cases of Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati and other worldclass DJs. The latter excessively played his Remix of Marlose‘s „Avantgardistisch“ as closing track of his DJ Sets. 

With his next project the young DJ and producer now goes back to his roots which are settled in grooving, melodic Techno. Deeply inspired by the sound of Frankfurt, Vellocet started DJing at the age of 17 - under his former alias Maxwell Smart and very soon played residency in his hometown Munich in Freddy Mercurys favorite New York Club. From then on his journey continued through many clubs throughout Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg (Harry Klein, S38, Butan, Soul Kitchen, Studio 22 etc). He now lives in Aachen near Cologne and works as a recording and mastering engineer. 

Besides that, he is a resident DJ as well as planner of the Niemandsland Festival in the most western part of germany which has been home to the likes of Vril, Fjaak, David Vunk and many others and he is constantly developing his production, engineering and DJ skills.

Kaali ist ein Electronica-Duo aus Aachen. Sie vereinen verträumte Synth-Klänge mit treibenden Clubbeats und mögen komplexe Songstrukturen. In ihrer Musik verarbeiten die Zwei fast schon musiktherapeutisch die hellen und dunklen Momente des Lebens. Eine Ode an das schöne, bittere und immer aufregende Dasein in dieser Welt. Nicht suchend und doch immer findend. Inspiriert durch Künstler:innen wie HVOB, Hundreds, Elderbrook, Moderat, Robot Koch, Bon Iver, The xx, Agar Agar, orbit uvm.
