Annym (‘soul’ in Manx Gaelic) is a newly formed group bringing together two musicians from the Isle of Man; Isla Callister (fiddle, vocals and concertina) and Cairistìona Dougherty (vocals and whistles). Having played together for several years for dance groups and other projects, including both being tutors for a youth movement project it was a natural progression for them to create their own music together. Cairistìona has been singing in Manx Gaelic since she was a child and gained renown in Lorient in 2015 when she took part in Alain Pennec’s creation ‘The Manxman’. Isla is in her second year studying Traditional Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and has been making waves in Glasgow with her superb fiddle playing in new group, ‘TRIP’. Having both moved to Glasgow to study they have continued to create Manx music together. 

Accompanying them is acclaimed harper Rachel Hair. Through her work as visiting harp tutor for the Isle of Man Rachel has emerged as the world’s premiere specialist in Manx Harp Music. She is at the forefront of a revival of Manx harp and this has led to invitations to teach and perform Manx music worldwide.  

Sharing a passion for the music of the Isle of Man, these musicians naturally united whilst currently residing in Glasgow. With affection and commitment towards traditional Manx music, their sound is infused by the vitality and ‘annym’ of the Isle of Man.

Second album from London based singer-songwriter, Cat Nickless, coming out on new imprint Round Table Records in April 2018. A cross atlantic affair inspired by her time studying in New York and recorded in London. While in NY she developed a love for photography taking a series of 35mm film photographs, inspired by this and after working with Andrew 'Woody' Woodhead (Meraqi) to craft the songs she took these same analogue principles to London’s Soup Studios working with David Holmes (Ghostpoet, Nubya Garcia, Jakob), recording on original tape machines. But the connection wasn’t just in approach, each song was directly inspired by one of the photographs, leading to a feedback loop of creativity.

Since 2017, Mark Rogers has released a remarkable catalog of melodic Indie Pop/Folk Rock music.  In 2024, he will present his third and unmistakably, best album yet: “30 Minutes from Water Street”.  
Mark Rogers demonstrates unique songwriting abilities with lyrical storylines that invite and compel the listener.  Although you’ll recognize his utilization of some of the best elements of California and British classic rock, Mark is far from a retro act.  His infectious chord changes and harmonies, while they may both surprise and ring familiar, serve as guideposts into some fairly diverse musical terrain.

Mark’s first two LP’s: 2019’s “Laying It Down” and 2021’s “Rhythm of the Roads” both debuted in the top-20 on the EuroAmericana chart and skimmed the top 100 on the US AMA.  His music has received wonderful reviews in “No Depression”; “Americana Highways”; “TheIndieSource”; “Lonesome Highways” and many more. His recordings have achieved worldwide radio airplay and have been added to scores of streaming playlists.
