DJ GreenLight

Lamar Thompson, better known as DJ GreenLight, is a professional crowd rocker. GreenLight has worked with artist such as Cobra Starships, Big Boi, Future, Cash Out, Roscoe Dash, Case, Choppa, Juvenile, Bobby V. Gorilla Zoe…plus more. Also performing at known venues such as Republic of New Orleans, Varsity of Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge River Center, Boogie Nights, Brown Door of Hammond, Fred's Bar, City Bar and many more. 
	
DJ GreenLight is a DJ/Producer/Mixologist/Turntablist entertains with turntables. He represents CollegeLife DJs, he is also a Core DJ, Heat Master DJ, Go DJ, ProMix Dj Instructor. GreenLight has played for many gigs, ranging from “Bar Mitzvahs to Hip Hop Clubs to Electro Dance Music (EDM) Festivals, I love every genre of music, is that corny?” – Says GreenLight. Always trying to be different from the rest, GreenLight strives for creativity and continuously thinks of something that no one else has. 

	DJ GreenLight can be found in Louisiana on the regular bouncing between venues, while able to remain at his house spots, one of which has been 4 years. He also mixes for Hot 97.9 FM station, plus other Guest Radio slots, Internet Radio Stations, University Stations, Dance Teams Comps and more. At all of his venues you can feel the energy in the room, always playing for the crowd, throwing request in the midst of the flow with no set play list. “I feel lucky to be able to have found something that I love to do and able to do it. I still get nervous a little bit, but it keeps me sharp. Takes the longest for me to think of the first song” –GreenLight. With his ongoing schedule he is able to make a living, by rocking crowds, no matter the genre. Scratching, live remixing, chopping and screwing, and so on is what keeps him current.

Biography

GreenLight was born in Macomb, Michigan to a sergeant general. He found his life bounce from state to state. His father passed at the young age of 7 and his Mother at 17. Lamar turned to music for his outlet, involving himself with everything from choir to band. While in middle school Lamar went with his cousin, a DJ at the time by the name of “DJ Chinchilla”, after the performance Lamar became fascinated with this new art of rocking a crowd. He then began to further his knowledge and experience by following his cousin, collecting and preparing for his chance. The chance came in 9th grade for a younger peer’s birthday party. “I only had two portable cd players, a six channel radio shack mixer and two small house speakers” -says Lamar, who’s stage name was “DJ Drummatistic”. “Everyone always asks what and how did I come with my name, it was a marching band song that I took a liking to” From there Drummatistic (Lamar) went from house parties to weddings, to doing all of his school dances, including homecoming and prom. 
	
	After Graduating from West Feliciana High School, Lamar moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to further his education and passion. Shortly after, he linked up with a corporate DJ company. Here is where he learned the business side of the industry as well as being trained for every occasion. Soon Drummatistic became one of the most requested disc jockeys in the company, setting him apart by becoming a skilled mixologist. At the beginning of 2012 Lamar was now going by a different stage name, (DJ GreenLight) “It was easier to pronounce”-Lamar.


Jonathan Curtin is following
