Lead track Screamadereka heads straight into orbit from the get go with a stop off to thank the likes of The Cocteau Twins & Death In Vegas for their influence along the way. Huge drums, spaced out synths, warped guitars & a fully charged love in style vocal all wrapped up in a mushroom flavoured microdot with a pretty empowering finale.

I'm Alright steps up the ante a bit more and goes all Tomorrow Never Knows on us but with added warehouse acid squelch & rasps throbbing out from a beat that is broken (but not break beat!) whilst still retaining the psychedelic tendencies of its predecessor.  

Sean Johnston steps off the ALFOS rocket ship and joins forces with Duncan Gray for their Hardway Bros Meet Monkton Disco Dub take of Screamadereka and the result is a hive of cosmic mutant disco brilliance whilst Manchester's finest 6 piece See Thru Hands turn I'm Alright into bombastic focused UKG style wig out duet complete with new vocal takes by DNCN for seriously wonky floors & like minded souls.

For the digital release there is also an extra helping from Hardway Bros & Monkton where they ramp up the wonk factor & go even more horizontal than the original!

Limited vinyl release comes with an incredible exclusive insert drawn by Manchester local artist Emma Evans and features a visual interpretation of the Space Arcade E.P.

She licked her lips provocatively as she stared him up and down. In the distance there was music playing but the pair cared not for such ambience beneath the glow of the moonlight. Before them the waves rolled gracefully upon the dusty sand, the palm trees blowing delicately in the warm air. The sky was a bitter shade of black, the stars faintly visible behind the gloomy clouds. This was not some sort of peaceful paradise but a stormy romance on an island lost. 

Smagghe & Cross return following recent releases on Offen Music and our own Ransom Note Records imprint. The pair deliver an intriguing EP for Glasgow based record label Huntleys & Palmers.

Blindetonation returns with a second remix EP that finds Alejandro Veneno, Aurum Miles and Kezokichi remix tracks from the label’s esteemed back catalogue. 

First up Alejandro Veneno tackles ‘The Phase’ from BlowEnder’s ‘Drugs No Hugs’ album back in late 2016. Veneno is an Argentinian who makes a mix of rock and electronic sounds like no other. He has remixed for Kitsune and Etoro Records and counts Matt Walsh and Teki Latex as fans. His excellent version is a long legged chugger with big guitar licks and detuned chords. It’s bright and loose and oozes dub-funk. 

Aurum Miles hails from Lithuania and brings rock and shoegaze elements to his productions. He uses guitars, keyboards and drums to do so and here he remixes Steve Ekman’s ‘Obscuria’. The result is a superbly spooky disco track with ghoulish voices, twisted acid lines and dynamic chords that dart about the mix with real raw energy. 

Last of all, Tokyo based label boss Kezokichi steps up. He’s established this label as a go-to outlet for machine made disco and rock tinged sounds that are rugged and textured. His version of ‘Calor De La Noche’ by Tkuz is a heavyweight cut with fat drums and filtered vocals all driven along by angst ridden stabs and big hits. 

These three remixes breath great new life into the originals and make for another vital package.
