In anticipation of the Scumfrog's 'Collection 2021', released at the end of October, here is the recording of his return to DJing. Recorded in front of a packed dance floor in NYC on September 16th. 

After lockdowns, quarantines, isolations and live streams, The Scumfrog returned to the decks in front of a real crowd for an extended set at the venue where he started MBTS 6 years earlier. For once, he managed to press 'record' on his recorder before he started. Enjoy more than 3 hours of dancing to The Scumfrog's interpretation of post-pandemic boogie.

It has been quite some time since the last time we gathered for a night of MBTS. I wanted to take some time after the pandemic to be quiet and see how the dance music scene would evolve, and what sounds would come out of the standstill that was Covid. Now that I have a good sense of where I want to be sonically, and what kind of energy I want to spread onto dance floors, I am ready to restart MBTS in 2023. Just another sunset in the desert... Or could it have been a special occasion? There was the aerialist hanging from a crane, there were ecstatic screams from every direction, there was family all around me, there was abundant tequila and infinite smiles, and there might even have been some Barry White. The Scumfrog - DISTRIKT Music - Episode 164

When is enough, enough?  What happens when your serotonin levels are low? When you're no longer in awe? When the drugs are no longer working, and you find yourself staring at the vast void of dust and lasers. After 17 years of Burning Man, I am closing a chapter of my life, and welcoming new adventures. Lushpod #48 is a compilation of dusty memories real and imagined, and recorded live at the Simpson Suite on the balcony of the Rose Hotel in Venice Beach.  Big thanks to Doug, Cerraeh, and everyone else who joined us for this sunset journey.
