Daniel Nieto et sa bande sont à la recherche d’une nouvelle victime. Ils arrêtent leur choix sur Giovanna Amati, la fille du « roi du cinéma » local. Après quelques hésitations et plusieurs semaines de filature, elle est enlevée avec brutalité sur le pas de sa porte en février 1978. Mais le rapt-éclair de la riche héritière s’éternise.

Rome. Fin des années 1970. Daniel Nieto, un braqueur marseillais, est en cavale dans l’Italie des années de plomb où le rapt est une véritable industrie. Il devient kidnappeur et enlève la fille d’un riche industriel du cinéma. Une relation contre-nature se noue entre l’otage et son geôlier. Elle sera fatale à ce dernier.
