Bad Girl

We we're fortunate enough to have a couple of days in the studio with Jonathan Shoreland who played wooden flute and pastoral oboe on this set of three Welsh slip jigs. Alan Davies joined us to add some lovely Cello lines.
The three tunes are Cwrw Dda (Good Beer) Y Facsen Felin (The Yellow Brew) Y Bwced (The Bucket) We normally refer to them as The Welsh Slips.

A musical crochet arrangement from 2012 of a couple of my simple dance tunes, this time with hurdy gurdy (Steve Tyler) & unbelievably for me, modern border pipes (Katy Marchant) and the trusty Sunny Davidson on guitar.   The "Stump" melody was composed as a link piece in and old Fernhill set.   I play a Bb band flute and Bb pastoral oboe.
