Sounds like a little friendly neighborhood hunting!  “After drinking”. Hell yeah - booze and guns! Here in GA there are billboards that say “drugs and guns, next exit”.  But seriously.  You’ve woven a melody well between unclimbable chords!  I admire that.  Love the pause

Pregnant pause prior to the second verse - well adorned by the opening notes.  My country right or wrong is a bit worrysome, but I know you’re not like that - just the protagonist.  Great to hear you composing again, Jonathan!

really perfected the 'laconic suspense' in this one... the way things nearly pause then re-appear, such a great feel. Spacious instrumentation leaves a beautiful space for the voice. Grand work

I'm always amazed at how much I'm pulled into the stories you tell, whether I fully understand them or not. The leading, the between-the-lines suggestions, the wondering who, what, when … it’s a marvelous game. I do have my ideas about the image that might be in the sights, though it may be different from your intentions judging by the art.
