deep house dj, sequence mixer. look for natural combinations, never try to 'force' two pieces of work together. producers work hard to create their music, so dj should aspire to do the tunes justice in their sets. look for optimum mix of appropriate sounds, seek 'slingshot' points to orientate the mix around. then, it's all about keeping it tight. aim to develop mix sets with flavour and personality. in essence, tunes will pick themselves, the dj's the mechanism for delivering something waiting to be found. no ego involved, servant of house music.
