Does wondering what insomnia sounds like keep you up at night?
For this one I wanted to represent what goes on inside the brain of an insomniac. Inspired by the mind and bodily sensations experienced in the dark, may my frustratingly moody beats and intentional words help you to push through all that noise. Let me take you on a sonic spiral, along the strange and trippy tangents of thoughts, turning the sharp corners of your psyche until you eventually fall asleep.

Bienvenidxs a Jones’ World: un mundo lleno de expresionismo existencialista.

En un mundo cada vez más precario, es cada vez más necesario desconectar de ello. O más bien, conectar. Con aquello que nos da miedo, con lo que nos da paz, y las respuestas a nuestras dudas.
La experiencia inmersiva de Jones' World ofrece un portal a un mundo existencialista donde quizás logramos parar todo este ruido durante tan solo unos minutos. En este mundo, la forma en la que escuchamos y disfrutamos de la música se convierte en una experiencia envolvente que va mucho más allá de los propios sonidos. La oscuridad de bass, idm y down-tempo se combina con la luz de los paisajes sonoros y la música ambiente en perfecta armonía. Amante de capas de batería imposibles, Sarah Jones no deja a nadie indiferente.

Pero, si un árbol cae en un bosque y nadie está cerca para oírlo, ¿hace algún sonido? 

"Esta sesión encapsula todas esas partes de nosotrxs que preferimos mantener en la sombra. ¿Qué es una sombra sino una historia contada por el cuerpo? ¿Dónde estaríamos sin su oscuridad, cuya ausencia es también la ausencia de forma? Para citar a Milan Kundera: “la mayor de las cargas es, por tanto, también una de las más intensas plenitudes de la vida”. Durante esta hora, conversemos con estas partes rechazadas de nosotrxs mismxs. El bajo proyecta una sombra sobre la luz; la luz ilumina los graves. La pesadez intensifica la ligereza. La aspereza suaviza la fineza. El calor contrasta con el frío. La vergüenza solo alimenta el orgullo."
