The sixth release of „WHATIPLAY“, is at the same time the second release of Sascha Braemer at the young label. The original version of “Et Voilà” is already a very dynamic track and invites you to the dance floor of the club. Christoph’s remix of “Et Voilà” wants to go one better and therefore it is hard to make a decision. Luckily you don’t have to. Instead, you just listen to both of them.
Chilling melodies go hand in hand with smooth and harmonic vocals. Those are the characteristics of “Égoïst”. A track you could also enjoy literally all by yourself.

Das 6. Release von "WHATIPLAY" ist zugleich das 2.Release von Sascha Braemer auf dem jungen Berliner Label. Et Voilà lädt bereits in der Originalversion mit seiner ansprechenden Dynamik unweigerlich zum Tanzen ein und ist prädestiniert für die Dancefloors der Clubs. Christoph setzt mit seinem Remix von Et Voilà gleich noch einen drauf und es fällt schwer sich für einen Track zu entscheiden. Glücklicherweise muß man das aber auch gar nicht und tanzt einfach beide Tracks durch.
Entspannte Melodien mit einem schönen und harmonischen Vocal bestimmen den Auftritt von Égoïst, ein Track, den man in Anlehnung an seinen Namen getrost auch mal ganz allein für sich genießen kann.

With the backing of a legend like globetrotting Dutch DJ and producer Joris Voorn, it is only natural to expect a lot from Toronto-based producer Daniel Dubb's debut album. Luckily, Daniel delivers on those expectations, as Pieces of the Past is a thoughtful, forward-thinking take on modern dance music and has been touted as some of his most mature music to date. In advance of the release, lead single "Pound For Pound" got some early support and praise from a long list of world-renowned DJs including Nicole Moudaber, Tensnake, and James Zabiela.

Daniel Dubb is recognized as one of Canada’s most exciting underground house artists, and the album, as Daniel tells it, has been influenced by some of the most meaningful moments of his past, which is easy to feel with the emotional journey this full length album delivers. The production has a slow-burning, ethereal vibe that showcases the artist’s masterful ability to create breathlessly slow builds and releases of tension alongside tender, beautiful melodies.

From smooth, beatless grooves like “Always,” which Nest HQ called “a house purist’s dream,” and “Float,” which LessThan3 called “smooth and silky,” all the way through to his traditional, hip hop influenced sound, Pieces of the Past has something for everyone, and proves that Daniel has a bright future ahead of him.

I Dream carries a bouncy synth and lo-fi organ throughout the deep and driven track, bringing the user into a state of euphoria after a few short minutes.
