Jahfayah is a young UK based African Reggae singer and chatter. Bringing the styles current in Botswana to the west, Jahfayah has linked up with Devon-UK based studio musicians Gurner and Ras PJ to form Afro Reggae Records

 Pete Middleton (Gurner) first heard Ital Dub with
 Christine from Alpha &amp; Omega, which kindled his interest in Reggae.
 After this he co-formed the classic addition of the Charlie Hearnshaw Quartet, with middleton on Bass, Pete Jacobsen on Piano &amp; Andy Hague on Drums. Middleton produced the So Slam It LP (1990), with a recent Japanese Reissue on Disques Dessinee.

Around this time Middleton formed &amp;; led seminal South West England Latin Band, Caldera UK. This featured Alan Sharp, designer &amp; maker of natal congas.

In the late 1990's, and now known as Gurner Pete joined The Rurals (A Deep House Setup from Devon, with various floating members, and a unique house sound) Playing Bass &amp; Latin Percussion on many of their most successful tunes, including Lush, So Alive, That Feelin &amp; many more.

Together with fellow rurals member Pete Morris &amp; South Devon Reggae Veteran Ras PJ (Pete Jeram) A Romany Gypsy, they formed Satta, playing Roots Reggae in 2005.

 Since then while Pete Morris works with Pappa Teacha in Plymouth based band the Rooticles, Gurner &amp; PJ have formed an association with African Reggae Singer, Jahfayah.

Gurner has also recorded Marie Tweek, the brilliant Soul Singer from The Rurals, in his Bat Cave Studio - recent Single, Fight Back reaching No.6 in the American Upload Charts.

Now Gurner is actively working on the Afro Reggae Label with Jahfayah &amp; Ras PJ, first Single Release (on Zimbalam) Herbalist, was internationally on 13th September 2010.
The follow up, Jahfayah - Fire Can't Cool
released March 7 this year
