Three weeks have passed since the inception of ‘Werk Space’. A monthly Dutch producer series that takes place at the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam. Here’s how it works.

Each month we invite a producer from the Netherlands to showcase his artistry and challenge him to work in an amazingly fruitful environment.

The Red Bull Studios Amsterdam is a state-of-the-art recording and production facility, where renowned and up-and-coming artists, are provided with everything they need in order to celebrate and create music!

Nineteen-year-old Singularis delivers the first blow with some help of fellow producer Sndwvs. After two days of pure creativity, and some laughs, they left the studio having devised a laid back Hiphop beat entitled “Ride”.

Next month our guests will be @Moodsprod from Rotterdam and a young vocalist from Ghent. Best believe this is only the first of many music findings. You will come to know, love and respect the many talented producers our little country has to offer.

Duality is the name of the project I've been working for the past year. I chose the name because it refers to me and my production style not being unidirectional. Duality is me trying to conceptualise the "Instrumental Tape" - I wanted this project to sound cohesive, just like an album from an artist.

Initially premiered on my 17th at #DualityListeningParty on the 7th of July 2016.

With everything that has been going on in the world in regards to police brutality and injustices against people of color by the police, I've felt a plethora of emotions this week alone; Helpless, angry, despondent, betrayed. I didn't know what to do. But then I received a voicemail from my grandmother, who's without a doubt the strongest person I know. It made me forget about all the negativity going on in the world and helped me focus on how to improve my situation and better those around me. And I thought to myself, "What better way to do this, than with music!" It's the universal language that unites all people of all colors and origins. 

So without any further delay, I give you, Song for Averil! It's the last track on my soon to be released album, "The Funny Thing About Life". 

All proceeds made from the album will go towards various charities that help support the families of victims of police brutality, whether it be financially or emotionally.
