Hi, 

Call me Rich. I'm a singer-songwriter-guitarist originally from East Brunswick, NJ who loves writing original music. My music, between my acoustic and electric songs, is an eclectic mix of rock and folk. 

In my late teens, I wrote, recorded, and performed music for 3 CDs (2 acoustic, and 1 electric), and in my early 20s, I did the same for an acoustic EP, and had performed those songs in small venues around the Phoenix-metro area. These 3 CDs can still be bought from Amazon.com, and include: “The Brightness,” “Heaven on Fire,” and "Cruel World for Lovers." All of the songs from the acoustic EP (entitled, "The Longing") as well as some of the songs from the CDs I mentioned above can be found and downloaded for free right here on my soundcloud page.

After about a 6-7 year hiatus from writing/recording new music and regularly playing out, I've finally found the time to start writing and experiment with recording again! I've written some new material that I'm hoping to release at different points during the next few years (2025 and onward). Keep an eye out, and I plan to post it here along with a link to a new/updated music page when it's all ready.

Through all of the songs that I have recorded, one thing remains constant: the presence of purpose within my music.  I make sure that every song I write has a distinct message within it.  What's great about hip-hop and music in general is the ability to express oneself.  But what are words without meaning?  What purpose do they serve?  I see so many hip-hop artists write complex rhyme schemes or fill up every line in their verses with joke after joke after joke.  But when you look at it, nothing they said even made any sense.  Yeah the audience might start oohing and ahhing, but that's nothing compared to the power of getting someone to walk away from your show as a changed person.  That's when you know that you affected somebody.  That's what happens when your words have meaning to them.  And I'll sacrifice rhymes and wordplay for meaning any day.
