The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes label artist Ruben Karapetyan back for a new EP. Following a ten-year hiatus, the Armenian born, USA based artist made a triumphant return to electronic music in 2020 with a series of the releases via the Greek imprint. On the strength of his ethno-progressive sound and remixes from Emi Galvin, Matan Caspi and Stan Kolev, Ruben earned praise and support from the underground's top tastemakers, while enjoying an extended stay in Beatport's Progressive House charts. Additional releases for Droid9 and Eat My Hat landed with equal fanfare, making the Los Angeles resident one of the progressive scene's fastest rising artists to emerge in recent times. Now continuing on that upward trajectory, Ruben returns to his comfortable home of Movement Recordings with a two-track showcase entitled 'Sooner or Later'.

Beginning with the title selection, Ruben crafts a spiritual slice of progressive house with a tantalizing atmospheric narrative. Played out over eight minutes, its fluid groove, pulsating rhythms and otherworldly effects come together for amazing moments across the first act. Subtle and refined, this sleek storyboard proves to be the perfect prelude for a two-minute of cross-cultural vocals and mystical textures, beautifully juxtaposed and heightening the senses onwards to a stirring finale.

The release concludes with the equally impressive 'Ihy'. Well in line with the previous selection with its free flowing, trippy style; a marriage of muscular grooves, devilish effects and driving percussion set the stage for an enticing narrative. Once again, the main break is set to delight dance floors with its transcendent vibes and exotic motifs, tactfully building across a cavernous two-minute stretch and setting the stage for a charged final movement. Exhilarating and memorable, it rounds out a welcome return to Movement Recordings for Ruben, who continues to be one of the progressive scene's brightest talents. Highly recommended.

'Sincopat is back with another exciting release, delivering our 101st reference is the talented Vhyce who has been on our radar for a while now. With a very personal and flavourful style he comes straight from Belgium but with Portuguese and Italian blood. Sincopat Big Kahuna AFFKT remixes the timeless 'Ordinary Thoughts', the track that titles the EP.

To start this trip we have 'Ordinary Thoughts', a timeless piece of music that includes two versions, the original with a stunning melody that will leave you speechless and a more raw and crunchy acid version, both versions will make you travel without moving at the same time you can not stop dancing. AFFKT has reinterpreted the two versions in the same remix with the energy that he has accustomed us, we are sure that it will give goosebumps to more than one.

We continue with 'Many faces', another great song from beginning to end, its hypnotic bass and etheric leads will make you lose sense of time and space.

And finally we have 'Something In The Air' in which Vhyce looks again for the perfect groove, an authentic atmospheric experience to the deepest part of his sound universe and that adds the perfect icing to a well rounded EP.'

Right In The Night

Due for worldwide release on Friday October 25 via Just This, the 11-track opus marks Hunter/Game’s third full-length LP following the release of ‘Adaptation’ in 2016 and ‘Silence’ in 2019.

VISION – the eagerly anticipated new long player from Milanese electronic music duo Hunter/Game – will be released on Friday, October 25 via their own record label, Just This.

The third full-length musical opus from partners Martino Bertola and Emmanuele Nicosia – which follows on from the critically lauded release of their debut LP ‘Adaptation’ in 2016 and their second album ‘Silence’ in 2019 – ‘VISION’ will feature eleven exquisite new compositions on its official release in October, including the internationally celebrated lead singles ‘Stars’ and ‘Last Hour’, which dropped in May and July respectively.

Incorporating a unique, cutting edge style of avant-garde electronic music production into their introspective and highly emotive dancefloor creations, ‘VISION’ sees the Italian double act transport listeners deep into their own reflective state of sonic exploration and experimentation, as they present their most thoughtful and complex body of work to date.

The release of VISION also coincides with the launch of Hunter/Game’s stunning new AV concept show of the same name, which debuts at EartH in London’s East End on Friday, October 11, in partnership with Fabric London. Further VISION shows are set to be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to Hunter/Game’s socials for the latest up-to-date information.

Speaking about the album concept, Hunter/Game commented:
