This was one of the 1st "BoomTrap" beats I've ever made (created almost 3 years ago). 

Since then, it's gone through many transitions, different song ideas with a handful of different artists. The only other person who has this beat is my homie Just Blaze. You may or may not remember him playing this beat for Blackthought to freestyle over, on the Combat Jack Show last year.

I wanted to finally put this beat out, in its rawest form, for the masses to hear.

Why? Because, f*ck it.

We’re so proud to bring our Stay Zen EP.

It’s been a long time coming but we’ve made sure that this experience would represent the ZS family and it’s fans as much as possible. Almost 10 months ago today ZenSupremacy was founded. 
This collective was started with one main goal in mind; showcasing forward thinking people and artists, as well as their tastes and preferences in the vast world of music. Today, we believe we’ve done just that. 
Our collective is growing thanks to all the great support we’ve gained over those last few months.

Stay Zen Is our first full body of work which we are very proud to finally bring to the world. ZenSupremacy and "Stay Zen" are not just a label and the name of this great body of work, but a way of life. Supremacy represents full control or dominance, while Zen embodies tranquility and peace. By putting those two concepts together we avidly share a message of positivity, love and respect that we believe every human being should live by. With the worldwide success of our Soulection Compilation Volume One which featured some of the most promising producers of our generation two years ago in January 2011, it was essential to create volume two. It's amazing to reflect on our progression and how far we've come. Here we are 27 releases later with our first official record! It has almost been a year since we started to compile this project. Since day one we've known that we would get to this very point. 
 

The Time in Between captures genre-bending compositions from creative an entire year, this compilation delivers a timeless journey through future bass, boom bap, glitchy uptempo soulful melodies and then some. Soulection releases the Time in Between putting a time stamp on the unique musical epoch that is 2013. By serving up genre-vague and undefinable sounds to the people first, the label maintains and reinforces the relevance and need for this timeless sound. 
 

These specific artists are all Soulection affiliated and we feel that every track on here has a "timeless' feel to it. In fact, we feel that this record is one that you can play years and years down the line and still get that original feeling of when you first heard it. There tracks have no expiration date; styles that have no flow. This record was created and compiled to change your perspective on music and the future of where we are headed.
