The Dead Trends are an indie-pop/rock band from Durban, South Africa.

Having just released their EP, the band plan of touring and promoting themselves and their music around South Africa.

Their first single to go on iTunes, "Yesterday" had been play-listed onto Durban Youth Radio and Mr Price Radio (which was aired around the country.) Months later, they recorded four more songs in studio with Brent Quinton and their debut EP, "Melancholic Melodies" was created.

Johan Danno is a conscious artist writing music from the heart for the mind with soul!

Fusing soul folk-rock and sunshine blues with conscious hip-hop reggae, Danno returned home to Australia in 2020 after 3 years of performing across the USA.

Johan's story has inspired people around the world as a world-travelling independent artist.

A Child of South Florida and now Australia's favourite son, Johan's blending of music and meditation was the medication that saved his life at 19.  Promoting a Xavier Rudd show in Orlando was his first experience of Australian music, later inspiring Johan to sell everything and leave Florida on a one-way ticket to Australia at aged 22.

Giving up in 2013 on music to climb the corporate ladder in Australia, it was through the power of music Johan saved a friends life and at that moment, he realised his purpose in life. 

Ditching his tie for a guitar strap in 2016, it was through a crowdfunding campaign supported by friends and family Johan recorded his first album and booked shows across the USA and Australia, from Brisbane to Nashville and Austin to Hawaii. 

Bringing fun and empowerment through his music, Johan has opened for acts like The Lyrical, Marcia Hines, G Love, & Satsang.
