Once Upon a

"I'm the famous guitar player," the late Duane Allman said, "but Dickey is the good one."
Considered one of the best 100 guitarists by Rolling Stone magazine, this track is my hommage for all his great blues and slide chops. 
His roots are in jazz, and you can hear the influence of his clean-toned modal soloing in a lot of Southern rock groups. 
The guitar is a Gibson ES339.  Halfway, I introduced an acoustic Harley Benton. The track ends with a driven electric guitar, for something unexpected.

This song was inspired by the movie " In Time" Starring Justin Timberlake, Cillian Murphy and Amanda Seyfield, Great movie its a must see , Its about a world where everyone has to buy time to live. My  song is about time and love and contains several definition of what time is....As albert Einstein said..."TIme is an illusion that moves relative to an observer"  He also said that the universe has a speed limit and that is 186,000 Miles per second ...which is the speed of light...

Tried to get a Motown feel and vibe to this song with a modern twist..

I've been collecting berries and laying in stores . so, i ran into this in the files, perhaps my fave collab. I have, i hope, sharpened it a little in the mix and mastering, basically got rid of the fx.
Lammbone is very apparent,bold and joyful. Rory from Textosh is weaving a sublime harp through it all. I took his slide off the track so the harp could sing a little more clearly.

I am not a musician but music plays a very important role in my creative life! I am an artist/designer and music is my companion and my muse in the long hours I spend working in my studio!
