Moving On

I wrote this song during the Coursera Songwriting Course this summer, though not for the course. 

I had hoped it would of been enhanced by the contribution of one of my collaborator's but that has not been successful, so I offer it up as one of my usual one take guitar and voice pieces with a little over dub. If anyone feels they could add to the piece with voice or instrument or drums...you know where I live!  lol :)

And the weathercock turns over Sutter's barn
Scarecrow points to the setting sun

Dark clouds lour the western plain
A distant rumble, a storm declaims
And Billies been sweating since she gave it up
Its fear that silvers her tongue

The bleating horns

Corvids darken the lightning tree
A thousand eyes through the darkness see
A brutal truth of the world expose
The sacrifice, the blood, the bone

I am not a musician but music plays a very important role in my creative life! I am an artist/designer and music is my companion and my muse in the long hours I spend working in my studio! 
I am immensely impressed and grateful for all the talented and inspiring musicians whose work graces this Cloud, and I will always re-post sounds that I love (and will listen to again) - knowing that others will enjoy them!
I feel slightly embarrassed and quite humbled when I receive such graceful messages of thanks from artists whose work I have re-posted - after-all, I am the one who is so inspired by the discovery of your brilliant music!!!
