The O.Z.O.R.A. Dome this year was more of an “alternative” stage than a chill zone with lots of techno, dubstep and even tech house. But we stuck to the psychedelic roots as we usually do. even in our cosmic anomaly timeslot of 9am on Wednesday morning ☺

Poker Flat Recordings has been dealing out underground house music with a unique twist since 1999; from the defining debut 'Loverboy' through the Bugnology series, acclaimed albums and worldwide club hits, Steve Bug's essential imprint has unearthed new talent, developed rising stars and welcomed veterans into the fold. Steve Bug's reputation as an exceptionally gifted DJ, producer and music connoisseur is about to carry the beloved imprint to its 15th anniversary, which will be celebrated with its finest collection of raw talent yet, starting with this first instalment of the anniversary series called Four Jacks.

Following the winning format of the series thus far, Part 4 boasts two slamming new remixes of classics from the vault, and two brand spanking new tracks from Poker Flat's stellar roster. 

Trentemøller's electro touchstone 'Always Something Better' now draws the attention of DJ Tennis and Mind Against, who keep it slow and suspenseful with an intricate and modern deep house makeover. 

Chardronnet vs. Afrilounge's 'Shake It' was a defining moment of minimal tech in 2005, and Ejeca modernises it with a full-bodied treatment of peaktime melodic techno. The finale offering of new tracks created to mark the anniversary come from John Tejada & Justin Maxwell and Kindimmer; the former reach for vintage boompty house and noodly acid on 'All We Know', while the latter opts for delicately minimalist deep house construction for the chiming, gleaming 'Tremor'.

With all four of Poker Flat's Four Jacks now been revealed, the label has played its winning hand once again, demonstrating just how they have stayed at the top of their game at 15 years deep.

Das zweite Release des noch jungen Labels @delightsearthly steht in den Startlöchern. Um kulturelle und vielfältige Musik zu veröffentlichen, haben sich die Macher für eine EP des Kanadiers @kora-musique, der bereits auf Kindisch publizierte, entschieden. Am 16. Januar 2017 soll seine Deep-House-Kollektion „Fragile“ in digitaler Version erscheinen. Gleich der Opener der EP, „Vayu“, ist ein wunderschön strukturiertes Werk geworden, das von einer melodischen Wärme überschwemmt wird. Kora zeigt mit der Produktion eine gewisse Leichtigkeit und eine zarte Annäherung an Drums, während arabischer Gesang die Nummer abrundet. (...) Ein Remix kommt von @timur-sardarov alias Timujin. Revered across the globe for his solo work and with fellow Austrian, Peter Kruder, the duo's work under their Kruder & Dorfmeister moniker saw some of house music's finest moments throughout the 1990s.

Now bringing his unparalleled experience and expertise to the fore, Richard Dorfmeister is once again at the vanguard of the underground dance movement as he draws together some of the finest talents to grace the music industry. "The Exchange" is thus a club-oriented collaborative that is built upon the foundations of modern dub in a bid to create a timeless sound that is certain to light up dancefloors across the globe with an iridescent aural glow.

Featuring a host of talents, Dorfmeister teams up with global stars to create a 10-track tour de force that highlights Gotan Project's Philippe Cohen Solal on the deep and soulful, "Which One Are You", while the prolific and esteemed US producer, Brendon Moeller, demonstrates his exquisite musical technique in "Sirene". The vocal talents of Rob Gallagher, whose work as long-time guest vocalist for Dorfmeister's Tosca project plus Kruder & Dorfmeister's legendary live tours, creates a moment of dub-infused magic with production maestro, Mato, on "Earth Man" and "Run Run Run".
