Doppelgänger is a musical project by Salvatore Montieri.
The style of the project is mainly based on electronic sounds and electronic music, although it combines various genres in his music. A blend of electronic music, IDM, glitch, Techno, beat, experimenting with contaminations with classical, jazz, folk, pop, rock music.
It is a musical project that cannot be pigeonholed into a static and stale department. The stimuli, as in everyday relational life, come from multiculturalism, from artistic, sentimental, even psychological diversity.
It is a real journey into the different mental states, nothing artificially constructed. It is a full immersion in a natural composition, following instinct and passion. A necessary combination of a soul, dissolute or modest, which emerges prevailing in all its possible imaginable forms.

Doppelgänger arises from the need for continuous experimentation, renewal, transformation, change that goes beyond one's way of being. Experimentation becomes of fundamental importance, and not the sensations.
In experimentation there is no awareness of the experimenter and of his sensations. When the experimentation comes to an end, that's when the sensations begin.
The desire to repeat an experience is the request for sensations: and while sensations can be repeated, experimentation cannot.
It is the desire for sensation that forces us to depend on outward lines and shapes. Sensations have a beginning and an end, they can be repeated and spread; but the experimentation is not within the limits of time. Experimentation, which is quite different from repetition of an experience, is without continuity. Only in experimentation is there renewal, transformation.

Between Heaven And Hell... Alive !

I started my musical journey at the age of five, initially composing music with tablature taught by my father. Beginning with the penny whistle and violin, I played in our family band, busking on the streets of Bath.

Our travels across the country inspired compositions like "Road to Wareham." Music became my sanctuary, especially after being diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. In college, under mentors such as Dr. Rick Birley, Dr. Richard Hall, and Dr. Julie Trevett, I honed my skills in composition, theory, and piano, transitioning to formal music notation using Sibelius.

Today, I compose for film, video games, and theatre. My music, influenced by my diverse experiences, aims to evoke emotion and tell stories.
