Finally, the while has been waited. These two unreleased mixes have been on many DJ's radars for quite sometime now. And we are proud to present to hallmark producer / musicians to bring you this exquisite vinyl. First up on the A side, originally produced by Atl's Kai Alce. we bring you the Ezel Remixes which all instruments are played by the maestro himself. With Dezaray Dawns infectious vocals that automatically gets you hooked and will have you groovin. Also an added bonus solo Trumpet mix curated by Ezel.
Side B also consists of a classic and timeless vocal performed by British singer songwriter Lavonz. Having the pleasure of re-releasing the original track on Makin' Moves, we had the legendary Osunlade re produce the track and the outcome simply amazing! Keeping the essential elements of the vocals, yet bringing his authentic Yoruba Soul Sound which organically works for the any dace floor. And adding a bonus club mix for the basement setting for the early hours.

This sparked a deeper connection, leading me to explore Schumann’s Carnaval, performed by Rubinstein, as mentioned in the story. Just like how Murakami’s tale weaves together music and introspection, this show delves into the mysteries that music uncovers. Through sound, we transcend the everyday and enter a world where our dreams, thoughts, and fantasies come to life.

Twenty-five years after starting this mixtape series, SlowJams Vol 22 is here!  This tradition started back in 1998 while I was living above Walgreens in the Lower Haight, San Francisco with some of the people who made me the man I am today …..The series featured music from the deeper, “late night” end of my record collection that almost never made its’s way onto the regular DJ mixtapes we were all making in the late nineties.  Over the years I have been told that these recordings have soundtracked many of my friends lives. Their romances, their after-hours’ and their Sunday sessions. This latest instalment has some heavyweight tracks on it….hope you enjoy!

London based producer Electronic Youth joins forces with New Violence Records for their 41st release. A regular on labels such as Lapsus, Lost and Safe Music, his no nonsense dance floor slammers have been staples in the sets of some of the biggest DJs around including Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez, Mark Knight & Supernova.

We start with the title track Reflex a big, brash and in your face slammer. Driving percussion accompanies the infectious bassline whilst a familiar vocal sample weaves in and out until the massive break and drop. Guaranteed to cause major outbreaks of smiling on the dance floor. 

The second track, Source, finds Electronic Youth collaborating with Pacosheo. This time things are a little more heads down, the percussion a little more insistent but still all joined together with a throbbing bassline. A lovely little synth riff in the breaks adds a little light to proceedings. Quality stuff.

Rising star Ben Sterling has already garnered huge support from label co-founder Jamie Jones. Moving into 2019, the talented youngster makes his debut on Hot Creations, delivering three punchy, high-octane tracks this February.

The EP kicks of with Surrender - a track that shows no mercy with its heavy drums, hedonistic vocal hooks and a rolling groove. On title track The Energy, Sterling layers breathy vocals over a driving bass, perfect for those 3am losing your mind moments. EP closer, Apathetic Behaviour, is pure unadulterated after-hours fodder.

One of the original residents of Josh Butler’s Origins series, Ben Sterling has had tracks signed to Butler’s label of the same name where he joined greats such as Kerri Chandler, Groove Armada and Huxley. Last year saw the young DJ play at the infamous Warehouse Project alongside KiNK, Dennis Cruz, Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed and Marquis Hawkes. He’s performed at some of dance music’s leading events including Paradise, Elrow and Kaluki. In 2019, Sterling shows no sign of slowing down with events already locked in for Printworks, Hideout and Snowbombing.
