Terravita - Shambhala 2013 live from the Village

A limited edition release on white label in 2003 (made in 2001), was an LP promo for 'The Original Dr Shade', b-side was 'French Kiss' bootleg, classic Virus style drum and bass from Ed Rush, Optical & Fierce...'POD'.

Metalheadz rounds off an incredibly successful year with an EP from core label producer Mikal, who also brings some friends along for the ride.  

META013 is a project that shows the versatility of Mikal. His take on the Headz sound includes steam train steppers, halftime dancehall grooves and classic reinforced era jungle. The EP is an expansive project that includes collaborations with Break and Nymfo, from South Country UK across to Holland.

The dancehall and dub parts of Mikal’s armoury are strongly on display here - his contribution to the long lineage of dancehall influenced drum n bass is a confident- take no prisoners attitude,  typical Metalheadz.

The package is broken down as a four track vinyl EP, with an exclusive digital only fifth track. There is also an accompanying video for the lead track. 

The EP is five tracks worth of intent and is the tip of the iceberg for Mikal’s future in terms of sound and presence on the label and we keenly await his next outing.

It was a special night in June of this year with 800+ people crammed into Xoyo's upstairs room (from pretty much before the very first needle was placed on the record until going past the nights extended close). Again a big thanks to Benji B for inviting us down to take over the room.

R.I.P. to TC Izlam. So sad to hear the news today. I made this tune with him and my friend Vinnie (V Chip) back in 2003 when I was using the name D-Vision. It was my first ever appearance on vinyl. TC came over to Ed Solo's studio in Brighton where I live, we were all hanging in the studio and V-Chip said to TC how much of a fan of the Let The Bass Boom tune he was from the S.O.U.R. LP "Nu Skool Update" and TC immediately just asked us if we wanted to remix it, which we did of course! We got to hang with TC for a while while he was visiting and took him to some local DnB nights, he was a very fun guy full of life. R.I.P. TC and love to all your close friends and fam

Jordana LeSesne is a musician, DJ, and producer born in Pittsburgh, PA. 

As both a DJ and Producer she has toured the world and played alongside many of the top DJs in the world of Dance and more specifically Jungle/Drum'n'Bass music. She has also worked with artists such as Mike Joyce (formerly of The Smiths), Deborah Harry and Blondie, Lady Sovereign, MC Kinky from London/ffrr, Yellownote, Soulslinger & TC Izlam from Liquid Sky Records. 

The Pittsburgh, PA native first came to popular attention in the mid 90s as one of the first respected producers of American Drum N' Bass. In 2001-2003 Jordana was known as Lady J and was a regular DJ on FLEX FM in London, UK. Talent runs in the family as she was related to the late Tupac Shakur. 

Currently she has returned to her pre-DJ/producer roots of rock, helping to found and front a melodic goth metal band in Seattle. 

She is also working on a new Drum 'n Bass EP full of new original material.
