As the resonant Shamansitic screams of Jim Morrison are heard in combination of the deep hypnotic low-end of the 808 and the psychedelic sound textures of ambient mental space, Moduloktopus & Naito release their first collaboration together bridging together a forward thinking flavor of Trap/Underground Techno with a recurrent story in the club world.

Story:

This song roots itself in a true story of a fellow clubber who experiences a new inner voyage in narcotic experience. When he decides to go clubbing to escape his daily troubles and bring himself to a state of bliss, he asks around for something new and different to the men with the candy of ephemeral delights. A new person is suggested by one of his friends. he is told that whatever he gives people has sent them on mind bending journeys of euphoria through the night. Without hesitation he cuts through the crowd and goes speak to this man with an eccentric look. The conversation is brief and the communication is obvious, as the speakers and wild lights of the club make an exchange easy to make. The dealer smiles and gives him a warning to be aware of his deeper self as the effects kick in; what he is about to experience is a mirror of his own self. Our fellow clubber ignores the hippy talk and simply takes his party medication in pure expectation and wonder for a new thrill that night.

A while later after chatting with his boys, he begins to feel the club lights shift in his vision, and his listening awareness begins to slowly increase in sensibility. Being confident and curious he proceeds to just wear his sunglasses on the dance-floor to go deeper into the rabbit hole of his mind, and sensory goes deeper and deeper to the point where the layers of sound are so intense that Without much effort, the ability to see thru his own psyche and blur the lines of identity become a default state of mind. After this the effects follow with a loss of long-term memory and a revelation of more layers than he is normally aware of. Upon realizing how temporary these moments of enlightenment are when dosing on the pleasures of the nightlife, he begins to accept the duality that coexists inside him and attempts to live from the vivid perspective he considers a new truth. Only to dance the night away immersed in his fantasy and wake up once more in the same state that made him take the voyage in the first place.

The story of our clubber friend is quite a subjective journey, but very objective for us to see. It isn't a sad a story, nor its a happy one. 
It's the story of a Cycle that club culture gives an individual, the love & hate, lies & truth, realities & fantasies, needs & wants.... putting it quite simply the Ups and Downs.
