After the success of Bollywood infused edit of Koi Jaye and the Three Eyes remix, Tjade is back on Bordello A Parigi with a four tracker of varied delights. We have already premiered themes fruit of the collaboration between flatmates, friends, couples… but this is the first time we have the opportunity of reviewing the work fashioned by father and son: Cmix & Creeg teamed up once again to bring to life “High Impact”, their debut release on the rising Brazilian label Print ID. On the remix duty, the also Brazilian and also rising artist MeMachine, who delivered a spot-on version of the title track.

While Creeg, the heir, has just started giving the first steps of his career, Cmix, the pappy, has a journey that started a few decades ago. The seasoned producer has been flirting with trippy and darkness-infused cuts for quite some time – and that’s exactly the kind of sonority he has been tutoring his son.

The track we selected to premiere reveals what the established/promising duo is capable of. Energetic, upbeat, melodic, and well-constructed, “Exhale” is a super fat-basslined arpeggio-based tune whose positive message invites you to go nuts on the dance floor.

Far from Sweely's original minimal-acid-house signature, I have worked on some italo-trance-rave hybrid, and, as you may have noticed, subtlety has never been my forte.
I've been influenced a lot by the great Kendal (among others), but also early Trance from the 90's which has been my 'guilty pleasure' lately. See for yourself!

Très loin de l'aspect minimal acid house de l'original, j'ai opté pour un hybride italo-trance-rave (appelez cette chimère comme vous le voulez) et comme vous l'aurez remarqué, je ne fais pas dans la dentelle ou la subtilité. 
Quant à mes influences, on peut citer le génial @kendal3000 (entre autres) ou encore la trance des années 'nonante' qui est dernièrement mon guilty pleasure. Jugez par vous même.

His debut EP 'One More Tune & One More Pint' (yes come on let's have it!!) aims to encompass the euphoric feeling of being on a dance floor with nothing but your mates and some good music (and pints). Honestly I'd be happy if that's what's awaiting me in the afterlife. 'Press the Flesh' is the head of our proverbial euphoric snake, making no promises other than you'll have a bloody good time listening to it. 'Midnight Scooter Cruise' is about those last few moments before the lights come on; feeling genuinely happy to have been able to live in the present for more than a few seconds throughout the night and have a laugh - followed by thoughts such as 'Goodness me I'm going to feel horrific tomorrow'. Flipping over to the B side (or the snake's ass, if you will), we have 2 tracks competing for the loudest snare award. 'Head in the Clouds of Smoke' is a nod towards the great times had in the peak of the midday sun at festivals, where otherwise non-smokers inexplicably decide to chuff their way through a 20 pack. Last, but by no means least, 'Newton Abbot Reunion' is about going back home to see old friends - one of the more wholesome hangovers I'm sure you can relate to. Overall this EP wants you to keep on dancing - there will always be one more tune, and one more pint (unless you've had too many in which case don't do that). 'Very very good EP. Possibly the best I've heard this year.' - Count van Delicious 'Will you stop making your Italy disco or whatever it's called and take the dog for a walk please' - Senor Chugger's mum This is the unknown hit everybody is looking for played by Moustache Labelboss David Vunk at numberous parties, club and festivals!!!! Love & Danger in Paradise is an amalgamation of ZF's cultural fascinations. Inspired by likes of Vice City, Drive and Giorgio Moroder, for our annual themed compilation project, we sought out artists that create and craft neo-nostalgic sounds.

A retro musical direction drove the selection process, pulling tracks from italo-disco and indie dance genres. Each of the twelve hand-picked artists added a distinctive sonic uniqueness to the album. Cosmic, groovy and melodic club-ready works, all designed to timewarp the aural sense.

This curated collection musters up visions of midnight road trips, neon-lit city wanderings and dark disco discotheques, because in reality - what hath night to do with sleep?
