Spent the afternoon doing a rough and ready version of this Deftones track. Felt nice to actually do something as I've been struggling with my own work as of late.

I was playing with my volca and surreal machines diffuser yesterday and touched upon a nice chord sequence, I decided to write them into a house/techno track this afternoon. Could probabaly have sat on this and fleshed it out into a super progressive piece but I have some mixdowns to do over the next week so bashed it out in one sitting, hence the messy mix....

I grabbed a couple of those Soundtoys 'little' plugins whilst they were on sale, notably the PrimalTap delay, it's pretty good! I decided I'd spend the afternoon writing something a little outside of my world to have a play with the new stuff. In an ideal world I'd have done more with the drums and added a few more sweetners throughout, the second section isn't really what it should be either. I have somewhere to be this evening though and know I'll never come back to it so figured it was worth sharing...
