The 7th compilation of JFNS, reflects a range of hypnotic sounds, encompassing styles such as sci-fi, deep, and raw. Despite their differences, all tracks share a common essence, making this album a truly unique offering. 

Within the album, you will find the following tracks, composed of remixes from the original authors and exceptional artists known as "Ness" and "Laima Adelaide", all of whom are passionate about sound design and attention to detail: 

"Jorge Fons - Live of Senses" sets the tone with a sci-fi and deep sound. Throughout the track, listeners are taken on a journey, immersing themselves in a high-quality sonic hypnosis. This is followed by the remix by Obscur, which adds a raw edge while maintaining the sci-fi essence that distinguishes the track, undoubtedly a remix that listeners will enjoy. The final version of this track is composed by Laima Adelaide, a deep, danceable reshape that pays close attention to detail. Upon listening, it transports us to landscapes that evoke happiness. 

"Obscur - In over your Head" stands out as a testament to Obscur's signature quality sound. Modular and trippy, it's a journey that will be greatly enjoyed on the dance floor. This is followed by Ness's version, a track that immediately captivates with its cool vibe and subtle details that set it apart. Without a doubt, a remix that will get people dancing. Finally, Jorge Fons's reconstruction takes us back to that spacey landscape, this time in a deeper and more linear manner, achieving musical hypnosis.

Parisian DJ and rising star on the scene, @mmaemm draws much of her inspiration from artists who can tell a story in their sets, like DJ Tool, DJ Maria, Kia or of course Freddy K and DJ Nobu, whose sets are powerful masterclasses. 

Maemm is trying more and more to break down the barriers between musical genres to nuance his techno sets, and add a bit of depth by mixing other sounds from ambient, break and dub, which inspire him a lot. 

Maemm is delighted to be sharing a dynamic, energetic DJ set with us today, which might sound like something she'd play at peak time in a club.

Mos's recent debut at Basement NYC marks the start of a promising career phase. Across solo sets and frequent collaborations with Annie Lew, Mos dials in a tempestuous sound that would fit as well on the festival stage as it would in a small, dark club.

The mythic Mike Parker is welcomed to Balans, making his debut on the label with a four-track EP exemplifying his abstract style of eccentric analog resonance.

‘Transgression and Punishment’, characteristic of Parker’s classic fluctuating rhythms he explores soundscapes in experimentalism.
‘Smoke from Burning Fields’ conversely opens with a solid striking bassline making this track highly suitable for a damp and dark dancefloor amongst its hypnotic drive.

On the flipside, ‘The Freezing Process’ dives deep into the unknown where frequencies, submerged underwater, travel through the unfamiliar depths of the deep dark sea. To close out the EP, ‘The Midnight Zone’ is launched into ceaseless high-pitched oscillations, with a marching beat propelling the mind into an unconscious mesmerizing state. 

The perpetually seductive Mike Parker delivers a remarkable performance with this solid four-track addition to the Dutch label Balans Records, continuously known for delivering modern classics.
