2022 will bring a much anticipated new album from Karol XVII & MB Valence on Get Physical Music. Before that there are three taster EPs on route. The first includes a stunning original featuring cult vocalist Lazarusman and an ARPS remix from the Karol XVII & MB Valence. 

Polish pair Karol XVII & MB Valence are Get Physical mainstays and 10-year dance music veterans. They have served up plenty of standout singles on the label including 2020's 'Retrospective,' and are composers and sound engineers who are never far from the top of the digital charts. As such, they have previously been nominated for the Beatport Music Awards as Best Deep House Artists and continue to run their own Loco Records while releasing on other esteemed imprints. 

The seductive deep house of 'Whispers' features Johannesburg native and vocalist Lazarusman. He is one of the most influential artists in South Africa’s dance music scene after collabs with Bookashade and Soul Clap to name a few. His closely mic'ed spoken words add a trippy aspect to the snaking lead synth and deeply rooted, rolling drums. Tender and intriguing, it is an artful track that makes an indelible mark. 

The eight-minute epic 'Humanity' (ARPS Remix) is a subtle melodic masterclass. The glistening, meaningful synths constantly evolve and change shape, bringing warmth, light and soul to the deep house sounds. Later, cosmic keys also rain gently down from above. The mood throughout is introspective and the design is superbly stylish. 

This elegant first EP suggests the full length to come will be special indeed.

The EP is opening with ‘Words of Love’, a colourful and dramatic track made for bouncing dancefloor moments, as the main melody and bass involve themselves in a lively dialogue with one another. ‘The Greed’ sets the mood with African style rhythms, before a twinkling melody line and bass rub shoulders for the remainder of the cut. A handy tool to set the vibe right. The title track brings atmosphere in bags and is made for late night sessions on the Waterfloor. Copenhagen’s Nandu blesses the EP with a remix of ‘The Greed’ as he teases out the main melody into dreamier territory, while re-moulding the bassline into a gritty beast.
