After the original version of ‘Chasms’ was finished I had the idea to create an alternate, dark techno inspired remix. The lyric ‘Lost in a Moment’ Ásgeir sings reminded me of the Innervisions ’Lost in a Moment’ event I went to a few years ago on Osea Island. I remember arriving by boat to this intimate island rave and hearing Frank Wiedemann from Âme playing his remix of my track ‘A Matter of Time’. Elizabeth Bernholz’s haunting vocals echoed through the trees as I walked towards the Soundsystem and saw 500 people dancing to the remix of my track. It’s a memory that’s stayed with me from that night and inspired the vibe behind this remix. Now it’s finished and released it’s really cool hearing that Âme having been playing it in their DJ sets to complete the cycle! ‘Chasms’ AB Lost in a Moment Remix is out on Maxcooper's label Mesh now. An obsessive producer and fervent performer, Clarian’s decade-long tenure in the underground electronic scene has seen the Canadian play Burning Man, ADE, Off Sonar, Chalet, and Kater Blau, and collaborate with the likes of Guy Gerber, Seth Troxler, Felix Da Housecat, and Tiga. This November, Clarian adds to his extensive catalogue with the mesmeric three-track ‘Fly Away EP’, his second EP on Anjunadeep. 

Opening title-track ‘Fly Away’ pays homage to the synth-pop influx of the late noughties with tinges of Cut Copy and Hot Chip, whilst ‘Pale Blue Palm Trees’ takes a heavier turn, favouring a driving 707 drum arrangement. Final cut ’Tropical Stars’ sees Clarian lean into his deep house sensibility with a hypnotic track anchored in detuned chords and an addictive shuffling lead.
