Growing up in the city of Monterrey,Mexico and picking up instruments from the age of 5, Gil Montiel’s talents are deeply rooted in his early exposure to music, which has lead him to a natural inclination to learn various instruments such as piano, drums, guitar, and bass to name a few. By the time he reached his teenager years, he was in two Indie-Rock bands. 

Currently residing in Miami, Gil has remained under the radar for a great deal of time, but his sets at venues such as Space and the Electric Pickle have caught the attention of Miami’s most elite underground music aficionados. Gil’s extensive talents go beyond the mere ability to DJ. 

He has taken on the challenge of playing live sets, a quality that distinguishes him from today’s average DJ. When experiencing his live sets, one can expect to hear an eclectic infusion of music. His live sets bring a warm energy into the room, creating a vibe that lifts spirits.

Getting back in the game, started recording the odd set again. This is the first  5 hours of a 6 and a half hour set on  Thursday 7/4/16 in Pygmalion in Dublin. A good few old favorites, but a few new ones, if you want to know any names just ask. It was a relatively quiet night, so it's pretty laid back for the first few hours. Oh, it's in mono and may not be my best ever set, but it's grand for a bit of backround music while you're peeling the spuds getting ready for diner.
