Letter from the Editor

It is said that America loves “Black Culture.” We Do As Well. However What Else We Love More Specifically Is Cleveland’s Music Culture.

I have a small collection of music on my phone that has now been dominated by strictly Cleveland based artists. Why? I felt the need to immerse myself into the sounds in order to get a clear picture on what I should really be doing with this project. I have listened to music my whole life. I have listened to various genres and have found favorites in them all. So I am not saying that I will never listen to any other music ever again. I am just saying in order to truly support an artist and understand their struggle you have to listen to their music. It is the place where they tell a story that maybe only their family, or close associates know. Or it may be a story that they never told until they put a particular song out. Either way supporting your local artists is important.

	Also I realized that there are not many media outlets that speak on the musical culture in the Cleveland as we would see in larger cities. Many of these cities like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago have numerous outlets dedicated solely to showcasing artists and giving you the “scoop” on what’s happening in their cities musically.

We are covering STARS in the making, or maybe even creating stars depending on how you look at it.

We are still fine tuning every aspect of this endeavor, so bear with us as we attempt to express our vision to you.
