Foster The People came together in late 2009 when Mark Foster met band mates Cubbie Fink and Mark Ponitus through mutual friends in the Los Angeles music scene. Foster hailing from Cleveland, OH had been writing and recording music since his youth but it wasn’t until the three members came together that Foster’s music for the bands upcoming debut release, Torches, was ready for friends to hear.

In early 2010, Foster The People posted their first song “Pumped Up Kicks” on the internet. Days later it was used to score a friend’s fashion video, days after that it showed up on Hype Machine and a year later it had seemed to make its way into the ears of millions of listeners around the world.

Foster The People released their first EP this January to give fans a taste of what they’ll hear on Torches which is out this May! Until then the band will be on the road playing their first U.S. tour with stops including SXSW, Coachella and Sasquatch music festivals.

Born and raised in the city of Rosario, Argentina, Guido began his career by teaching himself how to mix music, inspired by artists from the underground scene in his hometown.

In 2010 he took his first steps as a DJ, participating in the events of the mythical Rosarinean label "Planeta X" and in "La Macarena" club, where he exhibited a fresh, original sound that combines elements of tropical music and techno music.
The following year, together with other emerging artists of the city, he took on the festival cycle called "Fiesta Retoomba". He participated actively in the organization of each event of this cycle, of which he later became a resident DJ and shared the stage with numerous artists (Organización Rasta Combativa, Bongo Laser, Dj Kogo, Black Mambo, Meztizaje Sonoro, Exonora Plosión, Radio Antena, Dj Mämi, Ale Beresi (a.k.a. Etaro), ElMayonesa, Freak Castro, Black Mandingo, Brujjas Deejay, Hanna Shinohara, Dj Vintage, Faauna, Edu Vignioli, Jupa, Colonikocolokio, Marcelo Bertinetti, Boris Low, Miss Bolivia, etc)

Throughout his career he participated in numerous events, such as the ones in the "Tormenta Tropical" cycle, parties like "Tekno Tropikal", "Fiesta Galaktica", "Fiesta Terrakea" (together with Los Cuentos de la Buena Pipa) "Cooleada Cumbia Party" (Mendoza, Argentina), "The Castro Club", "Fiesta Fluorescente", "Club del Mambo", "La Popular", "Fiesta Aloha" (Entre Rios, Argentina), "Club Encantado", ciclo "Rompe/Crea", etc. During these cycles he shared scenarios and booths with renowned artists, such as: Dick El Demasiado, Efrita, Matilda, Jin Yerey, Zonda, BTL, Dj Mauri, Etaro, Nico Maseda, Tomas Caturla, Marco Emes, Gato Negro, Aguaviva, Los Cuentos de la Buena Pipa, Nenes Bian, 4 Pesos de Propina, Cepillo, Lora Porro, Carmina Burana, Karamelo Santo, Don Cosmic, Dj KBSound, Ale Lauphan, etc...
