During this period, the Netherlands was the “laboratory of capitalism” and developed institutions and technologies such as joint stock companies, stock exchange trading and cashless payments. “The Dutch can claim, more than most other nations, to have invented globalization” (Christoph Driessen). The constitution of the Netherlands dates back to the time of the Congress of Vienna in 1814/1815.

Together with Belgium and Luxembourg, the Netherlands forms the Benelux Union. The Netherlands is a founding member of the Montanunion in 1951, from which several successors and the European Union (EU) developed in 1992.

Jordan is a state in the Near East. It borders Israel, Palestine (with the border under Israeli control), Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the Red Sea at the Gulf of Aqaba (where it has a maritime border with Egypt). Jordan was formed during the First World War as a result of the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire. From 1921 to 1946 it existed as the “Emirate of Transjordan,” which was a British protectorate. The government of Jordan is a constitutional monarchy, but the king has extensive executive and legislative powers. Jordan is a founding member of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The country has a high human development index and belongs to the group of low-middle income economies. Jordan's economy, one of the smallest in the region, is attractive to foreign investors due to its skilled workforce. The country is a major tourist destination and also attracts medical tourists due to its well-developed healthcare sector. Nevertheless, a lack of natural resources, a large influx of refugees and regional unrest have slowed economic growth.

The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll

I must admit of late I haven’t been very productive and not so active on SC so I apologise if i have been vacant in listening to your new tunes.
I needed a hiatus for a while to clear the head get some renovations done around the house without having music to think about and distract me.
This tune was bubbling away a while ago and almost used  the lyrics for a Conscience Of Kings track but it didn’t work. I decided to persevere, wrote some cords and evolved it by just doing a little bit now and then.
Eventually I finished it and this is the final result. 
I’ve kept the original live vocal and acoustic guitar that was the guide because it catches the moment. Decided on no backing vocals and just to keep it solo and I don’t use auto tune either.
And added on top with electric and keys in the chorus. Put a house drum mix sound and I think it’s cool for a mini boss recording.
The songs about capturing that first moment of saying how you both feel about each other. I hope you like it comment & repost it .

This song is a weird one, I wanted to write like a fairytale song and it became like a scary tale instead. How does it happen that where once there was love, now there is hate? Failed relationships are hard for everyone and this song just states the very sad truth that sometimes it's best to just walk away from a relationship after a short time rather than hanging in there for many years when you know it's never going to work. Been there, done that! I kept the music light and very Beatleque! The first line in the chorus says it all "Once upon a time, she was the one!" Well, they all can't be love songs, you know! It's a very simple song written around the "D" chord on the guitar, very jangly like those poppy folk songs of the 60's. I should have worked on this song a little longer, it's missing something? I'm singing it so maybe that's the fly in the ointment!😂

The video is new however and I had a very good time putting it together last year. I tried to support the lyrics as close as possible. The video is actually better than the song, I think! Not much to say about this song or video, both were kind of throw-aways! I wrote it at the beginning of the pandemic, maybe that's why it's so unmemorable? I like the Unicorn at the end of the video letting everyone know that Once Upon A Time it was a fairytale romance! Cheers! 🥂

Even as a small child I wanted to learn a musical instrument...

...since there was a music school in our small town where I grew up, but it was limited to the activities of the local musicians' band, the choice was rather limited... because piano, guitar or saxophone were not offered and that's why I decided me for the trumpet, which was not used for cast-technical reasons, so the FLÜGELHORN became my instrument...
In my youth I turned my back on music and was active in sports towards the end of my teenage years.
