"Kalpa (recurring dreams)" is a limited cassette edition and digital release by O C E A N I

The EP, born from the collaboration between sound artist Abo Abo and the musical collective La Licorice, features three reworks of original tracks from the collective's debut album “Dialoghi difficili (automatic behaviors)”, where Abo Abo reinterprets and manipulates La Licorice's materials through various sound synthesis and processing approaches. 

The process of deconstruction and reconstruction gives new form to the elements, resulting in fresh compositions that maintain an organic connection to the collective’s debut album while embracing Abo Abo's current sonic vision. Each track is a stage in an evolving listening experience; beginning with impact, moving into immersion, and eventually following a more consistent rhythmic line. 

The fourth track, "Kalpa", available exclusively on cassette, is a completely original composition that marks the next evolution in the collaboration between Abo Abo and La Licorice. "Kalpa" brings to life a sonic landscape, a dreamlike vision that features a narrating voice.

A rousing, rallying and practical speech by Omar Barghouti, one of the founders of the transformative Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement: 

“In the face of the world's first televised genocide Palestinians are not begging
the world for charity. We're calling for meaningful, impactful solidarity. And before both, we are demanding ending complicity as a profound ethical obligation. . . 

The unprecedented grassroots solidarity pressure globally has significantly increased the isolation of the US-Israel genocidal axis. Social, racial, climate, gender, LGBTQI+ justice movements, trade unions, progressive Jewish partners, academics, artists, students, writers have all mobilised like never before to stop the genocide but have yet to reach that critical mass of people power.”

“If you hate violence, end oppression. 
If you hate oppression, end complicity. 
If you love freedom, justice, dignity and equality for all, as we do, end all business as usual with Israel’s system of injustice. 
We need your full and urgent support to help stop the genocide.”


BDS recommends the following peaceful forms of advocacy and mobilisation, to end complicity peacefully and strategically:

1. Pressure policy makers to endorse a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel, ban the import of products and companies operating illegally in the occupied Palestinian territory and withdraw all UK investments from companies implicated in illegal settlements.

2. Support peaceful disruptions, sit-ins, occupations, targeting government buildings, as well as corporate enablers of genocide and apartheid, especially arms manufacturers, investment firms and institutions, media, universities and cultural spaces that may be complicit.

3. Support declaring your community, union, cultural space an “apartheid-free zone”. Refusing to accept funding, institutional relations or sponsorship from Israel or its complicit institutions.

4. Support trade unions blocking or disrupting arms shipments to Israel.

5. Escalate strategic boycotts and divestment campaigns targeting companies that are complicit in Israeli crimes

6. Help pressure city councils, universities, churches, cultural institutions to adopt procurement and investment guidelines that exclude companies implicated in grave human rights violations, anywhere. We cannot push for Palestine specific resolutions in universities and city councils. Let's push for a general guideline to exclude all oppression, and then we can go with our list of companies involved in Israel specific oppression and call for excluding them.

Los Angeles based industrial/noise with guy who operates Banned Productions label. This tape includes different mixes of White Hand songs on a-side and collaboration with Nails ov Christ on b-side with additional spoken word piece pulled from documentary.
Year of publication is assumption. Most White Hand stuff was done in mid 80's but can't find dates on this release nor any information online.

6.  Victor/im "Force" tape

German project operating (as far as I know) only between 1986-1987. During couple of years of activity, there came bunch of Victor/im tapes as well as his label simply called V, published works of Grey Wolves, Irritant, Nails ov Christ, Con-Dom, Vandal X, Ethnic Acid.

!! Expect extensive tape hiss on this program !!

SI-radio03: 80's industrial noise / power electronics / postmortem obscurities

Jose Macabra, is an artist, sound designer, producer, video director, radio DJ/podcast maker and curator. 

Jose teaches Sound Arts and Music Production at the London College of Communications, UAL and other educational establishments. His work nourishes many influences, from the industrial and noise panoramas, together with a legion of related genres such as ritual and the darker flavours of techno, blended with sound art, soundscape, art brut and experimental music.
 
Jose has worked with and for Kimatica Studio, Persona Collective, Ernesto Tomasini, Ron Athey, HR. Giger, Sally Mann, J. Milo Taylor, Nicola Serra, Christian Duka, Martin Delaney, Eraldo Bernocchi, FFIN DANCE Company, Rum Luck Theatre Company, Persona Collective, UCL, UAL, SAE Institute, HMPPS Belmarsh and Unite the Union, to name a few.
 
Jose Macabra has performed in art establishment venues, including Barbican, Tate Modern, National Gallery X, Oxford University, Tate Liverpool, BFI, The Photographer's Gallery, Waterman's Centre, The Museum of Consciousness, Camberwell College of Arts, London College of Communication and Kent University. Works involving Jose's music and sound design have toured significant festivals in London, Madrid, Barcelona, Berlin, Hamburg, Athens, Brussels, Milan, Barcelona, Lisbon, Manchester, Liverpool and other cultural centres.
 
Jose's research interests include Electronic Music, Field Recording, Noise Music, Industrial Music, Improvisation, Sound Art, Performance Art, Queer Studies, Ritual Art Practice, Collaborative Practice, Altered States of Consciousness through Sound, Horror, Darkness, Film, Surrealism, Automatic Writing and  Spatial Audio.
