Massive flood devastated the lower Sumas region of Abbotsford with historic record rainfall between Nov 14-16, 2021. Basic restoration will take weeks, at best, only after the waters recede, For the unfortunate victims, who have suffered personal loss of property, homes and livelihood, the after effects of recovery will be felt for a very long time.

Second upload of a new album featuring compositions written over the last several months of 2021. If anyone can pinpoint what all of these compositions have in common, musically-speaking, put it in the comments - there was a concept tying everything together but I'm not going to reveal what it was, haha.

This album is going to be called "Prohibited Topics," a tribute to the textbook authors and teachers whose work is being disrupted by right wing efforts to stifle education about racial disparity and structural racism in the US. These compositions weren't written with this subject matter in mind, full-disclosure, but the album has now been named in response to this issue and will be dedicated to educators, and to truth, which will win in the end despite efforts to silence it.

Music has been an integral part of my being from a very early age, I joined our Church choir when I was just 5 years old. I wanted to sing! I won't now list every stage of my musical development but I'll just say that music has been a driving force my entire life from that point on. A love shared and participated in by my entire family. 

I was for a time a performer, many years ago. I took a two year gap after my A levels (2 of which were Music). Next was a place at the RNCM, BMus Hons Classical Saxophone  & Music History. After less than two years I felt it wasn't for me and left uncompleted.  Sadly then for such a long time, music had become just a hobby, everything I played or wrote was for my ears only.  Until now. Life has taken a new direction and with new confidence building and an opportunity to focus on music, I am now sharing with the world!

I hope to be able to build a career doing what I love and being nearly 40 years old, I think now is the time. No more hiding!

Over time I hope you will hear my recording quality improve. At the moment everything is recorded in one take and then a bit of sound tweaking in post. Please forgive fumbles while I get myself properly set up. You will hear lot's of original music played primarily on the piano, lots of guitar, some saxophone here and there and eventually some singing. All wrapped in my own original cover art. I may also do some covers at some point.

UPDATE 12/06/2021 (friends across the pond 06/12/2021):

I am finally getting to grips with some of this tech and my new set-up but it's a bit "more ya know, more ya know ya DON'T know..." ya know? I will start to release more frequently now, but sure as anything there will still be things to iron out. Any advice or constructive criticism welcome!
