q. pls introduce yourself
a. Artur / mu tate / mu

q. is there a story behind the mix?
a. it always starts with a few pieces that capture a particular mood or have a distinctive sonic quality that makes me want to build a whole hour of music around. i’m mostly interested in the emotional response that inevitably comes with listening and less so in the production as such. i like to take my time so each mix ends up soundtracking at least a month of my life. here the spoken word bits set the scene, instrumental pieces then try to accentuate and expand on that theme, take it further or in another direction all together. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

q. what’s the best way enjoy your mix?
a. i mostly record mixes with the idea of home listening since it’s my favourite way to enjoy music. it’s an evening listen rather than morning for this one.

q. describe a favourite object in your living room...
a. a burkhard vogtherr hombre chair that i got off etsy for £70. My favourite thing to sit on and to look at. 

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?
a. yes and no. we’re still working on some bits for the recent 3XL/Utter record like physical copies and a video. other than that i’m doing things at a much slower pace, exchanging stems but nothing that i myself plan on showing.

There are moments when I reflect on those times, aware that the crew is out there living their own lives. Now, I find myself as the sole survivor, my hair turned grey, yet as a Mylet, I still feel youthful. Occasionally, I wander down to the beach, reminiscing about the days we spent here, smoking weed together. You could say I represent a new chapter in their story. James and Louise will forever remain in my memory, no matter where life has taken them, and a part of my heart will always belong to James.
