Symptoms of humanity. Evidence of life. Under the moon. Among friends old and new. Summoning the spirits. And the sun. Blades of light cut morning fog. Golden beams. 

When I played this playlist at Luminosity, the sun came up and I felt called to bring a lightness to my set. Well on a dark night soon after, I revisited the playlist and played to the darkness I wanted to bring throughout. 

For those there, this will bring back those early morning memories.

In case you're unfamiliar, Pile Palace is our Desert Hearts Family Burning Man camp on and off the Playa. Right around the same time we started Desert Hearts, we decided to start our own theme camp with our best friends in order to give something back to a city that has given us so much. Just in the same way Desert Hearts grew organically, Pile Palace developed as a passion project. A common goal for all our friends and family to work towards each year. Now 80 camp members strong full of our best friends and family, Pile Palace is the loving back bone of our Desert Hearts Community. You want to know where Desert Hearts gets it's amazing vibe? It's these people right here. They're our inspiration and motivation to make the world a better place and we're so happy to share this new mix series with you.

Happily we announce our first Swiss artist, Daniel Vogel a.k.a. Herr Vogel, who used our cocktail shakers to mix a refreshing Blue Hawaiian !

Herr Vogel’s remixes and edits immediately catapulted him into higher levels of the international House Scene and especially into the record cases of well known DJ’s.

Besides producing, Herr Vogel’s huge passion is to play. If you had the chance to be at one of his sets you can literally feel that Herr Vogel loves to play and loves the music he plays.  This love quickly takes over to the crowd and spreads over the whole venue.

We’re very happy to start-off this week with a phenomenal sip. And this one definitely stands out of the crowd – today’s cocktail goes by the name „Velvet Cowboy“

This delicious treat is brought to you by TÂCHES, or Alex Christopherson, by his real name. An artist beyond mainstream, conquering the electronic world with his very unique and honest approach.

Originally British, Alex grew up on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, Spain. He left to Great Britain for college, but got back shortly, to focus on music, the real assignment in his life. Recently, Alex decided to pitch his tent in a mountainous canyon close to Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, California. He finally found the place on earth that sets free the energy required to keep him and his projects growing.

His music does not follow any trends – it conjures the energy of a latin, jazz and disco influenced, romantic house music, that reminds the owner of this channel of times he got into house music, a couple of decades ago. 
But there is also this modern touch to TÂCHES’ music. Dreamy, experimental, blending different world sounds to a magically touching mood. You can feel that the music reflects his experiences, his feelings, at this very moment.

In 2017, Alex launched his own imprint “Glitter Cowboy”, a “home for unusual and melodic music, that pushes the boundaries of the zeitgeist”. “Group Love”, TÂCHES' second EP and third release this year, has just been released on Glitter Cowboy. And a bit further back he welcomed Hypsidia & Altriparty with their stunning “The River” EP, including a remix by TÂCHES.

TÂCHES likes to knock up his Velvet Cowboy post sunset. If you do not want to wait another couple of hours: no worries, I can assure you, it perfectly goes down by daylight as well!

My set from the Mirage Garage daytime Tuesday party at Burning Man 2019. Cruising in after fellow resident J Gabriel laid it down, and before our dear friend, Bubu from the Mayan Warrior crew smashed it. 

I didn't expect to play a full set of funk and house from around the world, but that's what the crowd was feeling, so that's what we got :)

As a 20 year resident DJ of San Francisco's notorious club scene, Joseph Lee has delighted dance-floor revelers from S.F. and beyond.  From early morning sunrise sets at Burning Man, to outdoor day parties in the park and street fairs, all the way to ‘4 on the floor ‘ late night after hours… “Any time, is a good time , for Deep House”

J-Lee has cultivated many ideas that support the dance music scene by sharing these sounds to the general public, such as building a giant spaceship float with a 150,000 watt sound system for SFPride2000.  This ultimately led to bringing Love Parade to the U.S. in San Francisco, as well as many other public gatherings such as Halloween in the Castro, Pink Saturday, and Portland Pride.  Most recently, he has designed, built, DJ’s and hosts a newly beloved mobile DJ-SoundSystem called the Robo-Kart.

If you haven’t yet experienced his masterful blend of hypnotic deep, sexy, tech-house with warm bass-lines, J-Lee has saved you a spot on the dance-floor.
