Hi everyone. I hope all is well. This time I wanted to do a cover of the classic , ‘If’ by Bread with my own spin on it. They were genius song writers and musicians. The band was together from 1970 thru 1977. ‘If’ was released in 1971, from their 3rd album ‘Manna’ and reached #28 in the charts that year.
I like to do covers. I guess all the years from playing clubs
and learning all those cover songs is a part of my DNA. I still have a number of songs featuring Randy on lead vocals that I’ll release from time to time. I guess I’m trying to find my own way with his passing, but all is good. I hope you like this track and your feedback is appreciated.

By the way, the chorus goes along the build-up, that is, the more the song builds up, the more the chorus moves an octave (not quite right; more like following harmonies). From the 32 bar I had to turn back down. A.) because my keyboard has only 61 keys (yes, yes, transposing and such this...) and B.) because EVERY chorus sounds inhuman from a pitch above 8 octaves. 🤔 except maybe this boy here: https://youtu.be/JEz1qGS0T1Q

Oh yes, I loved the movie! Back in 1995...and whenever that tune came in, you knew something bad was going to happen. I will never forget the marriage of the two. Almost as beautiful as Cinderella....

Joseph Anthony Sousa Jr., born in Brooklyn, NY on July 27, 1968 
formerly known as DJ Dr. Souss aka SOUSS.  
He was influenced by New York's Hip Hop and Breakdance scene in his younger years and at the age of 15 moved down South to Louisiana.  Souss mastered his skills as a night club DJ and became one of the legendary DJ's in New Orleans by the time he was 21 years old. Mixing and Scratching at the hottest nightclubs and holding residency at House Of Blues, Aqua, 360 WTC and Kenny Key West.  In 2002 DJ Dr. Souss had the pleasure of performing at a nightclub event which  hosted the New Orleans Mayor and The New Orleans Hornets basketball team.  His popularity for the past 30 years has allowed him to travel all across the United States headlining and opening up for the Music Industry's top artists like: Tiesto, Egyptian Lover, Stevie B, Crystal Waters & Quest Love just to name a few. Since the 2019 Pandemic that caused the World to stop, Souss didn't miss a BEAT turning his passion and focus towards writing and producing his own music.  His music has been streaming all ver the world on major platforms like: Spotify, Apple Music & iTunes.  In 2020 he released his first track titled “The Serum”, followed by “Horn Play behind the Second Line”.  In 2021 he released “More Happy Days Ahead” and “Hypnotica Utopia”.  Currently working on another track to be released before the end of 2021.  This new path has allowed Souss to compose many styles within different genres bringing his EDM “Soussafied” style to Hip Hop, Breaks, House and World music.  Souss' accomplishments has opened so many opportunities within the Music Industry, his passion and love of music has fueled him to pursue his dreams of producing and writing for opportunities within TV, Movie and Commercial industries.
