These tracks can easily remind us of the legendary Manuel
Göttsching ambient house mood and his amazing guitar melodies.
Conures is a Japanese young producer influenced by the electronic
German and Italian underground music scene, influenced in its post Sueño Latino style deep house tracks as
well as chilled classics from the likes of Steve Reich .
Echo Sounder is a warm textured journey with great movement, deep yet driving, with plenty of elements
to keep your mind occupied yet never overcrowded musically as theres always plenty of space in this
intense gem of a track.
Neptunes Blues Feat Kirk Lake delivers a wonderful melodic workout, full of depth, and with the vocal that
elevates the track, alongside original guitar melodies and soft ambient pads, giving this a timeless feel.
On remix duties we have Tone Float who utilises lots of the main elements from the original yet adding a
chugging groove with a dirtier edge yet with softly saturated simple metrics that help the sounds melt
beautifully.

The Munich based duo Coeo are the stars of our fourteenth release. Florian Vietz and Andreas Hopfl have presented us with three original tracks with nice and special character. Closer EP is definitely a landmark release for us at Lagaffe Tales which challenges us to follow up with this new standard in the following future. The title track Closer is the star of the release. What stands out if the great percussion work and hauntingly beautiful vocal sample, whispering into our ears. As if the original track was not enough, we were lucky to get one of our biggest influences; Lay-Far to remix the track. The remix takes the percussion work to the next level and still staying true to the original mix. Lay-Far does not disappoint and makes sure that we connect memories we hold dear to the track. Mind Games is a beautiful piece with a tight baseline and enchanting piano atmosphere.  The duo bring to the table another beautiful piano sampling piece in the third track Timid Dancer. The whole EP has encouraged us to work harder and to grow in the right direction as a label.

Release Info: 
India's Wind Horse Records peers southward to Australia for the discovery of Melbourne-based duo Mink, made up of Matthew Doyle and Kostas Andreadis. The two have released music individually but it's their collaboration as Mink, begun in 2006, that has gotten the global house music scene to pay attention. Mink's track "The Deep Era" reached all the way to New Delhi where Vipul heard it and its Funkform Remix, snatching them up for Wind Horse Records. For the label's fourteenth release, Mink, in fact, will be the first non-Indian artist to have a full single on Wind Horse, representing the start of a new chapter in the Wind Horse story.

"The Deep Era" fits keenly into the Wind Horse Records discography with its sweeping, panoramic house music sound. Mink has crafted a sublime, groovy track with an understated, hypnotic rhythm driven by a slinky and warm bass line. Emotive strings and bright, pulsating chords creatively add to the track's musical weight. The highlight of "The Deep Era" is its extended breakdown, eschewing the beats in favor of layers of yearning synth pads, atmospheric sounds, and a mysterious, methodical voice. As the bass and beats slowly crawl back into the mix a blissful synergy is reached, and the dance floor is sure to respond.

FunkForm also resides in Australia, in the "tropical paradise" of Cairns, to be exact. This project, led by one Maddy Hughes, specializes in sophisticated, deep, tech-influenced house music and has become an integral part of Cairns house label Open Records. The FunkForm Remix of "The Deep Era" compliments the original beautifully, approaching a dreamy 'lost in space' vibe that should resonate within more expressive DJ sets. There's more accent on the rhythm here, as a lonely, almost Blade Runner-esque synth line plays the melody while rich pads echo about the stereo field. It's a fine accomplishment from FunkForm, indeed.

Look for more exciting things to come as Wind Horse takes flight in 2012, adding more international artists to the roster as well as expanding the efforts of its founders Hamza and Vipul.
