Josh David Barrett "Tobijah"— singer, songwriter, bassist, and producer — carries the roots of reggae into the future. A two-time Grammy-nominated artist (lead vocalist of The Wailers, 2015–2022), he is celebrated for bridging ancient faith with modern sound. As founder of Vine & Fig Tree Records and frontman of Judah Tribe, Josh channels Rastafari spirituality into every note, blending roots reggae, soul, and global rhythms that uplift and unite.

His upcoming solo album Dub-Roc, engineered by the legendary Dennis Thompson of Bob Marley & The Wailers, continues this mission. The lead single “Tselot (The Lord’s Prayer)”, sung in Amharic, is both a prayer and a vibration — a bridge between the divine and the everyday.

Josh has collaborated with icons including Q-Tip, Common, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Mary J. Blige, Solange Knowles, Teddy Afro, and Jesse Royal, earning global respect for his musicianship and message of love, justice, and spiritual elevation.
