This set is EVERYTHING that I loved about the LA underground. Huge smile on my face through this entire set and I felt like I was living this night all over again. Thank you for sharing!

I wanted to share this memory I had about this particular part of the set. They had some balloons hanging about. Not the nitrous ones (although there were probably some of those 2 there lol) but real balloons floating around. One of them drifts over and the tail string of it lands right on the record that's playing. You can audibly hear it go "click" "click". I'm watching this happen and I reach out and grab the string and saved it from becoming a real disaster. You can hear someone..I think it's Jr's cousin Nary laugh cause he saw what happened. The awesomeness of that situation added to the euphorea of the following mix which remains one of my personal favorites I have ever pulled off live.

Don't know if I've asked either of you two this But what about what followed this fine set of tunes..... Who was next ???

The yelp you hear at the beginning right before Song to the Siren as well as all throughout the mix is my dear departed friend Derek Zimara RIP bro....I miss you.

From his early days opening for Doc Martin at "Unlock the House" and his classic mixtape series "Acid Junky", to the 14 years he spent living in NYC shopping at such legendary shops as Sonic Groove, Dance Trax, and Satellite Records, to his move back to California and renaissance in 2010 with epic gigs at Sublevel (with Doc and DJ Pierre), Jack (with Brett Johnson and Psychemagik), Mount Analog's Nuit Noire (with Legowelt, Xosar, and D'Marc Cantu), as well as multiple Sunny Side Up's at the 5 Star Bar, and the Legendary MFD party at the Kohler St. Warehouse.  Currently residing in Colorado. Vinyl only.
